Angkor Archaeological Park
Angkor Wat in Siem Reap is located north of Siem Reap , local distance of 7 km. From Ko Mai street or town hall, de Gaulle. It’s meeting the largest Hindu temples and the largest religious monument in the world.
Temple was built by Suryavarman 2, a major cultural works great and famous names bolstered widespread all over the world. Built in the early 12th century in Yasodharapura (Angkor) Khmer Empire temple and mausoleum. Turning Shaivism tradition of previous Wat was instead dedicated to Vishnu.
Is the best preserved temple at the site, it is the only one who left a major religious center since its foundation - first Hindu, dedicated to Vishnu, then Buddhist.
The temple is at the top of the high classical style of Khmer architecture. It became a symbol of Cambodia, [1], appearing on its national flag as representation Khmer nation and it is also a major attraction for visitors to the country.
